The Group 2 Gold Coast Guineas is due to run at Gold Coast Racecourse on Saturday May 5, 2012.
Run over a distance of 1,200 metres, the 2012 Gold Coast Guineas is run under set weight conditions.
The 2012 Hollindale Stakes is open to horses aged three-years-old only and is worth $125,000 in prize money.

Morning Captain is being targeted towards the 2012 Gold Coast Guineas next month.
The three-year-old gelding won his last start in the Listed National Jockey Celebration Queensland Day Stakes at Doomben on April 14, 2012, and will be looking to step up to group level for the first time.
Trainer Kelly Doughty is confident he will be at his best for the 2012 Gold Coast Guineas.
“He shows a lot of potential and I’ll freshen him up now for the Gold Coast Guineas,” Doughty said.
“It was a pretty good win (last start) and he keeps stepping up to the mark.
“If he keeps going we’ll also look at running him in the Queensland Guineas.”
Jockey Chris Munce has ridden Morning Captain in all of his previous four winning starts.
“He struck trouble around the back but he picked himself up well,” Munce said.
“Any lesser horse would have chickened out.
“He’s very gutsy and is all heart.”
Morning Captain has won four of his eight race starts and has earned more than $185,000 in prize money.
