Nominations have been released for the Group 3 Gold Coast Guineas at Gold Coast Racecourse this Saturday May 5, 2012.
A total of 28 three-year-olds have been nominated for a start in the 2012 Gold Coast Guineas, including Barry Baldwin’s Saraji.
Saraji has won six of her 13 race starts and has earned more than $170,000 in prize money during her short racing career.
The Hidden Dragon filly has won numerous times at Saturday class level and placed third in the Listed Mick Dittman Plate at Eagle Farm on April 21, 2012.
Peter Snowden’s Mental is also included in the 2012 Gold Coast Guineas nominations.
The Lonhro gelding has won three of his six race starts and has earned more than $90,000 in prize money.
Mental ran fourth in his most recent start in the Listed Hilton Hotels Stakes at Flemington in November last year and will be having his first-up start for the Brisbane Winter racing carnival in the 2012 Gold Coast Guineas.
The three-year-old won his most recent barrier trial by one length on April 23, 2012, at Canterbury racecourse.
Didntcostalot is also one of the 28 horses nominated for the 2012 Gold Coast Guineas this weekend.
The Danerich colt has won three of his seven race starts and earned more than $80,000 in prize money since being purchased in 2010 for $3,000.
Didntcostalot placed second by a nose in the Mick Ditton Plate last start and will be looking to go one better in the 2012 Gold Coast Guineas.
