Time For War and Miss Cover Girl are both proven performers in the Queensland way of going and currently share favouritism in 2015 Gold Coast Guineas betting markets with Ladbrokes.com.au at a quote of $5.50 each for success.

Posting three wins and one minor place finish through his nine career starts so far, Time For War stamped his claims as a serious racing contender through the 2014 autumn and winter; taking out the Group 2 Pago Pago Stakes (1200m) first-up and running a credible fourth in the Group 1 ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m) before a luckless run for tenth in the Group 2 Champagne Stakes (1200m) on May 10th.

Returning to the winner’s circle in the Group 2 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1350m) most notably in winter, the Snitzel colt placed fifth in the Group 2 Roman Consul Stakes (1200m) and second in the Listed Brian Crowley Stakes (1200m) most notably through spring and is reportedly in great condition ahead of his racing return.

Miss Cover Girl posted a career-best victory to date when taking out the Group 3 PJ Bell Stakes (1200m) on Day 1 of The Championships last time out and is sure to relish the conditions of the Gold Coast Guineas should the track experience rain in the days leading up to jump.

Undoubtedly leading the charge of the locals in the 2015 Gold Coast Guineas, Miss Cover Girl has contested four events on the Gold Coast for three wins and a luckless fifth place finish; the latter on March 14th this year when caught wide and blocked in the final straight over 1400m.

Undoubtedly at her best over 1200m, trainer Kelly Schweida is pleased with the condition of the Monashee Mountain filly and is confident veteran hoop Glen Boss will get the best from her on Saturday.

Huka Eagle is yet to appear on course competitively this season but has maintained position on the second line of 2015 Gold Coast Guineas betting alongside southern raider Nostradamus.

A star three-year-old of Kiwi trainer Tony Pike, Huka Eagle charged home to win the Tip Top Stakes (1400m) on December 26th before running a credible third in the Group 1 Levin Classic (1600m) most recently on January 17th.

Nostradamus was unable to make much of three autumn starts but is sure to respond favourably to a step back in class for the 2015 Gold Coast Guineas.

Mustering two wins and one minor through eleven starts, Nostradamus has been confirmed to be partnered by leading hoop Hugh Bowman and will leave from the ideal barrier 4.
