Miss Cover Girl ($4.50) has opened as and maintained status as clear favourite in 2015 Gold Coast Guineas betting markets at Ladbrokes.com.au following her impressive black type win on Day 1 of The Championships, ahead of Traveston Girl ($6.50), Time For War, Nostradamus and Huka Eagle; all sharing the fourth line of betting at generous $7 odds.

Will Miss Cover Girl continue her good run of form with success in the 2015 Gold Coast Guineas, or will one of her many talented rivals find the line in the clear?

Time For War ($7)

A proven performer over the distance and at the Queensland way of going, Time For War will contest the 2015 Gold Coast Guineas first-up and offers exceptional value for money at current $7 odds for success. Securing three wins and one minor place finish through his nine competitive starts, Time For War was a standout for trainer Gerald Ryan through the 2014 autumn and winter; winning both the Group 2 Pago Pago Stakes (1200m) and Group 2 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1350m) most notably. Having trialled well in the lead-up to his racing return, Blake Shinn is sure to boost the chances of the Snitzel colt in the Gold Coast Guineas.

Traveston Girl ($6.50)

A noted front runner, Traveston Girl has posted a great account for herself over six career starts and will be hard to beat should she be offered a clear racing line leading into the final straight of the Gold Coast Guineas. Stamping her claims as one to watch when posting consecutive wins in minor Brisbane sprints through the 2014 winter, the Flying Spur filly ran fourth in the of the Listed Cap D’Antibes Stakes (1100m) and Group 2 Thousand Guineas Prelude (1400m) in spring; returning to the paddock following an impressive performance for second in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m). While needing some luck from barrier 12, Traveston Girl is more than worth consideration as a selection in a 2015 Gold Coast Guineas quinella or trifecta bet.

Mr Cha Cha ($21)

Mr Cha Cha is a proven performer amongst classy fields and over the distance, and arguably offers punters the best value for money of any runner confirmed in 2015 Gold Coast Guineas betting markets at current $21 for success or $6 to finish in the first three. Taking out a maiden over 1000m with ease on debut, the Snitzel colt ran second in each of the Listed Canonbury Stakes (1100m) and Listed Black Opal Stakes (1200m) and returned to the paddock following a credible performance for fifth in the Pago Pago Stakes. Allocated the rails draw, Mr Cha Cha is more than capable of a big upset in the Gold Coast Guineas.
