Takedown has been a strong and consistent performer for trainer Gary Moore and could very well receive the run of the race in the Gold Coast Guineas after drawing the ideal barrier 5.

A multiple stakes winner during his debut two-year-old season, Takedown continued to impress through the Spring Carnival without being able to return to winning form.

Resuming this time for second in the Listed Fireball Stakes (1100m) on March 5th, the Stratum gelding progressing to fourth in the Listed Darby Munro Plate (1200m) a fortnight later before finishing third in the Group 2 Arrowfield Sprint (1200m) on Day 2 of The Championships.

Big Tree is a proven performer at the track and over the distance but may require some luck in running in the 2016 Gold Coast Guineas after drawing barrier 11.

Winning the Group 3 Ken Russell Memorial (1200m) at the Gold Coast in only his second competitive appearance last year, the Snitzel colt ran second in four races during spring; returning this time for second in the McGahan Electrical Handicap (1110m) on March 5th.

Progressing to success in the Rhino Toolboxes Handicap (1200m) on March 19th, Big Tree ran on for a credible third in the Listed Mick Dittman Plate (1000m) a fortnight ago.

Blueberry Hill was a standout during the 2015 Brisbane Carnival and has been confirmed in the 2016 Gold Coast Guineas field.

Taking out a pair of Queensland minors upon debuting in 2015, the Myboycharlie filly ran second in the Ken Russell Memorial before beating a handy field to the line in the Group 2 Champagne Classic (1200m) on May 9th.

Progressing to second in the Group 2 BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1350m) on May 23rd, Blueberry Hill returned to the paddock after finishing a credible sixth in the Group 1 JJ Atkins (1600m).

Having placed sixth in a Doomben minor over 1050m first-up on April 9th, Blueberry Hill enters the Gold Coast Guineas off the back of a luckless run in the Mick Dittman Plate.

The Bruce Hill-trained Redsson will leave from the rails draw in the Sunshine Coast Guineas, while Divine Centuri has been charged with overcoming the outside barrier 20.
